ELKS NATIONAL FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIPS
The Elks National Foundation awards 500 Most Valuable Student scholarships of up to $50,000 to high school seniors who demonstrate scholarship, leadership and financial need.
Currently, the 2015 ENF Scholarship Competition officially is underway, and applications will be accepted at our lodge from Hillsborough and Manville students until December 5. Any high school senior who is a citizen of the United States is eligible to apply, and applicants need not be related to a member of the Elks. The application must advance to the district and state competitions to reach ENF competition.
In April, the top 20 finalists will participate in a Leadership Weekend Event in Chicago. These 20 finalists will be vying for two 1st place awards of $50,000; two 2nd place awards of $40,000; and two 3rd place awards of $30,000. The remaining 14 finalists will receive awards of $20,000. The 480 runners-up will receive 5th place scholarships of $4,000.
The ENF also awards $4,000 Legacy Awards to 250 high school seniors who are the children or grandchildren of Elks in good standing. New this year, Legacy Awards recipients will engage in service with the Elks to receive the following year’s scholarship funds. The applicant must be a high school senior, and must apply online only. Applicants must take the Scholastic Aptitude Test or the American College Test by December 31, 2014. Students may apply for Legacy Awards and they may only be applied to accredited US American schools, colleges or universities. When a student is selected from our Lodge, they will be required to perform service once a year at the Lodge during the four years you receive the scholarship.
